I am Laura, 31 years old and originally from Poland. I speak Polish, English and German. Together with my boyfriend, I live in a house in Camara de Lobos, where we have moved to in 2023. Moving was as a process and during this time, we could not be in Madeira and needed someone to look out for our house.
Our garden needed watering, letters needed to be checked and more. First and foremost however, we wanted someone to make sure that everything was okay, someone that we could rely on and that would cover our back while we were still abroad.
We initially struggled, also because our social network was still limited and we did not find a professional to assist us. Eventually a dear friend helped us out and took care of our home. Knowing more people who were in a similar position, this is how Madeira House came to life!
